Meet Albena Garnett

Albena is a lovely, caring, compassionate individual who believes in continuous self-improvement, learning and development. Born and raised in Bulgaria where she completed back-to-back Masters Degrees in Computer Technology and Economics, followed by Psychology (which she completed alongside her Mum!), Albena spent a year working for the Bulgarian Police as a Psychologist and two and a half years for the Bulgarian Red Cross as a Social Worker.

A move to Canada in 2008 saw Albena continue her studies but this time her training was to become a Montessori Teacher.

It was this love of nurturing and developing young minds that brought her to the Cayman Islands in 2015 where she worked as a pre-school teacher until 2021.

Her continuous education didn’t stop with her move to the Islands.  In 2018, her passion for yoga led her to complete a Classic Yoga 200 hour teacher training course, and in 2022 she embarked on a 500 hour online program through one of the leading schools in Bangalore, India.

Albena is passionate about helping people reaching their potential, whether it be pre-schooler’s, or those on the yoga mat, and as such she sees her role at CaymanHR as one that will enable her to help those in the workforce achieve their full potential too.

Her life experiences, thirst for knowledge, her healthy, happy lifestyle and a positive “can-do” attitude make Albena a pleasure to work with.

Outside of work and when not teaching or practicing yoga, Albena enjoys diving, traveling, volunteering at the Humane Society and spending time with her husband and family.
